OrderHero provides software that lets shops take customer orders through WhatsApp. Contact us at hello@order-hero.com.
From customers ordering from a shop: your WhatsApp phone number, your WhatsApp profile name, the messages you send to the shop, and your order details. If you choose delivery, the delivery address you provide.
From shops using OrderHero: business name, address, contact details, menu, and the WhatsApp Business account identifiers needed to send and receive messages on your behalf.
We do not collect or store card details. Payments are handled by Stripe.
To show you a menu, take your order, pass it to the shop, arrange payment and delivery, and send you updates about that order. We use aggregate order data to operate and improve the service.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your phone number for marketing without your consent.
The shop you ordered from sees your order and contact details. A shop can only see customers who ordered from that shop.
We share data with service providers who make the service work: Meta (WhatsApp message delivery), Stripe (payments), Uber (delivery, where used), and our hosting and database providers. Each handles your data under their own terms.
Order and message records are kept while the shop uses OrderHero and for as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email hello@order-hero.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
